Maryland PIRG
Maryland PIRG (the Maryland Student Public Interest Research Group) is an independent statewide student organization that works to solve some of the world's most pressing public interest problems, on issues like environmental protection, consumer protection, and hunger and homelessness. For almost 40 years students with their campus Maryland PIRG chapters have been making a real difference in people's lives and winning concrete changes to build a better world.
National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness
The National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness is committed to ending hunger and homelessness in America by educating, engaging, and training students to directly meet individuals' immediate needs while advocating for long-term systemic solutions. Over the past twenty-five years, the Campaign has become the student-arm of the anti-poverty movement. They have engaged tens of thousands of students in community service and political campaigns, developed local long-term projects like food salvage programs, and raised millions of dollars to fight hunger and homelessness here and abroad.
University of Maryland Office of Community Service-Learning
The Office of Community Service-Learning provides services to University of Maryland College Park students, faculty, staff and community partners to encourage community service-learning that is mutually beneficial to the university and the local community.
